Rajiv Khadka is a Visualization Researcher at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) and Adjunct Professor at the Idaho State University. He holds a Ph.D. (2019) and M.Sc. (2019) in Computer Science from the
University of Wyoming and B.E. in Computer Engineering from the Kathmandu Univerisity (2012).
He is respected as dynamic, enthusiastic, and multilingual with a proven track record of researching and creating
cutting-edge user interaction methods, visual analytics applications, and tools that improve scientific workflows within Virtual and Augmented Reality environments.
He is also a dedicated and passionate educator, delivering engaging lessons and providing mentorship to his students, while also writing successful proposals
and furthering personal research.
Rajiv has a strong technical background in web programming and visualization tools, and an outstanding ability to build lasting relationships
with, and convey technical information to, scientists and non-scientists audiences. He is respected as a motivated self-starter with exemplary organization
skills, a keen eye for detail, and an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
He is an out-of-the-box, analytic thinker committed to implementing unique solutions to challenging research problems,
while thriving in diverse environments that champion collaboration and innovation.
During his Ph.D. in Computer Science, he worked with Dr. Amy Banic at
the 3D Interaction and Agents (3DIA) Research Lab to conduct research in the fields of
Human-Computer Interaction, Collaborative Virtual Environments, Proxemics, Immersive Data Visualization, 3D User Interface, and Tangible User Interfaces.
